Job Summary

As part of a growing, passionate team of clean air technology experts, the Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily production schedules and ensuring inventory levels are managed properly.

In this role, you will analyze ERP / M2M system reports for sales orders, open new work orders, monitor finished goods inventory levels and release work orders to the production floor. This position directly assists the COO with planning and scheduling manufacturing workload requirements. In conjunction with the Plant Manager, the Production Coordinator will also coordinate with the Purchasing Manager in obtaining material, equipment and services.

Skills Required

· Strong communication and project management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with a proactive approach to schedule ahead of production needs.
  • Proficient with computerized materials control programs, ERP, MRP, APS systems.

· Experience with engineering drawings and specifications.

· Knowledge of manufacturing materials, steel sheet, electrical parts, motors, controls, etc.

· Ability to analyze material yield and adjust.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality material.

· Convert sales orders into work orders with approval from engineering.

· Manage the release of work orders to meet delivery dates, maximize workforce utilization and minimize work-in-progress.

  • Provide accurate, detailed status of work-in-progress, material availability and communicate schedule constraints to management.

· Run system reports to determine weekly production requirements by department.

· Develop production packets

· Compile, review and correct system reports pertaining to labor and material input.

· Assist Plant Manager in collecting, organizing and posting production metrics for manufacturing department.

· Review hours needed to complete all jobs and ensure that routing times are correct.

· Report labor problems caused by employee work habits or errors on BOM's and routings.

· Check work orders and routers for accuracy; release work order to the production floor.

· Maintain liaison with engineering department to ensure document accuracy.
