Job description
Overview:The Sr IT Compliance Analyst will lead IT compliance initiatives for GM Financial. As the direct interface between audit groups and the Information Technology Department, the IT Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing guidance to management on critical aspects of external and internal audit initiatives. The Sr IT Compliance Analyst will work to improve the overall posture of IT Compliance at GM Financial.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESDevelop, coordinate, and lead the compliance activities of IT Compliance Analyst teams, including scheduling of tasks and review of work effortsResponsible for developing and delivering metrics to demonstrate compliance project progress to managementIdentify areas where technology processes need to be established or improvedUsing a formal method for process improvement (Six Sigma, etc), partner with IT personnel to develop and implement processes improvements, changes, or new processesProvide services to IT personnel in the development of policy, standard, and processAnalyze and interpret audit requests, findings and reports to provide consultation and expert advice on how to formally respond and remediate issuesLead compliance projects across various IT areasDevelop and execute compliance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of general controls and operating processes, including documentation, presentations and action plan remediation assistanceProvide consultation and expert advice to management on scope and focus of IT compliance initiativesBe the escalation point for compliance analyst teams if appropriate and timely responses to audit issues are not received, reporting to management if necessaryPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresQualifications:KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groupsAdvanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operationsAdvanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groupsIn-depth knowledge of security frameworks (eg, ISO , NIST, FFIEC, etc)Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functionsKnowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practicesKnowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutionsSignificant experience in a large and complex business environmentSkillsStrong in the use of Microsoft Office software including strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposesStrong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levelsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectivesAdvanced experience with data visualization concepts and toolsDeadline orientedGood computer skills and conversance in information technology issuesMust be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervisionEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferredExperience7-10 years of relevant IT experience requiredLicensesCISA, CISSP, CIPP or other compliance/technology related certifications preferredWorking ConditionsNormal office environment subject to stressful situationsFlexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be requiredLimited travel may be required to support business needs#LI-EM1
