We Are Hiring Ascension Seton Medical Center is hiring a Full-time Chaplain! Schedule: Weekdays Monday-Friday; participation in monthly weeknight/weekend on-call rotation Preferred Qualifications: Spanish speaking Board Certification through Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), the National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) OR eligible for Board Certification with ability to attain certification within 2 years of hire. Board certification eligibility includes: A bachelor's degree A 72-hour graduate theological degree from an ATS accredited school 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through an ACPE accredited center Endorsement by a recognized spiritual/faith group. Provide pastoral care to the local ministry and community through performing sacraments, rituals, blessings and liturgies. Participate and collaborate with others in the delivery of holistic patient care. Build and maintain relationships with patients, families and associates through regular visitations and communication in order to create spiritual and religious connections. Mentor Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students and fellows. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Chaplain specializing in Cert of Endorsement obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. For those not certified as noted, ecclesiastical endorsement is required at the time of hire. Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC (or certification obtained within 2 years of hire, risking termination if not obtained within timeframe) is required. Education: Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required. 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE is required only if not board-certified. Work Experience: 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain is preferred. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
