The Fiduciary Administrator 1 on the Special Needs Trust Team administers Special Needs Trusts individually and as part of a team for the benefit of beneficiaries with varying degrees of disability and/or incapacity. Works with field trust partners, attorneys, caseworkers, and other professionals to ensure that Special Needs Trusts are administered in conformity with trust provisions, bank policies, Social Security regulations, Medicaid regulations, and other legal requirements. Works with families of disabled individuals and field trust officers to determine needs of beneficiaries and appropriate distributions from trusts. Administers trusts in a manner that prevents disqualification of beneficiaries from SSI/Medicaid and other means tested government benefit programs. Works with a variety of professionals, including attorneys, tax professionals, social workers, case managers, and health care professionals to develop and offer solutions to problems facing disabled individuals and their families. Identifies risk issues on Special Needs Trust accounts, and works to resolve such issues. Under general supervision, duties typically include: reading, interpreting and applying trust document language to specific situations; making frequent distributions of cash or assets; conducting comprehensive reviews of account activity and terms of all types of accounts following Wells Fargo policies/procedures. Performs fiduciary duties as an officer of the bank. May identify customer needs and offer solutions. May have direct customer contact.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following industries: financial, trust, or legal or one of the following degrees or certifications: BA or higher in Trust & Wealth Management, JD, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (tm) or Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor

Other Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge and experience in working with Special Needs Trusts preferred
•Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security benefit programs preferred
•Experience interacting or communicating with trust beneficiaries, and/or with families of disabled individuals preferred
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
