SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Petcare Company South Columbus, Austin, TX $75K plus 5% bonus

Minimum Education & Experience:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Minimum of three years of experience in accounting required. Some experience in public accounting preferred.
* Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* Strong analytical and accounting experience skills are a must.
* Strong communication, time management and prioritization skills.
* Proven track record of successfully meeting deadlines while producing high quality work.
* Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving, and results.
* Experience working with ERP systems. Sage Intacct preferred, not required.
* Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* Complete monthly close activities, ensuring monthly financial statements are accurate and appropriately stated for all owned clinics.
* Record journal entries and prepare supporting month-end close schedules.
* Responsible for all activities in Fixed Assets and Prepaids Modules.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly reporting of financial and operating metrics.
* Review monthly Sales Tax filings support files.
* Streamline accounting processes, document procedures, and assist with internal controls.
* Act as backup for Accounts Receivable and Revenue reporting.
* Works with outside auditors to provide documentation as required.
* Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects.
