Warehouse Storekeeper

Job description

We are seeking a responsible and professional Warehouse Storekeeper to perform a variety of administrative and field tasks for a local industrial client. This individual will be working at the client's site and will be providing support to the site's Warehouse department and will be overseeing all materials received, stored, shipped, and reported.

Candidates must be able to pass a graded background screen, pre-employment drug & alcohol screen, and must be eligible for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Principal Responsibilities

· Work proficiently with SAP interface for inventory and receiving

· Work closely with plant Buyers, Planners, Engineers, Contract Service Providers, Sales Representatives, Trucking & Delivery Service Providers, and Warehouse Management

· Multitasking with a focus on Customer Service

· Responsible for incoming and outgoing repairs of plant's equipment and the shipping of equipment via Hot Shot Service Providers and Trucking & Delivery Service Providers

· Overseeing that materials are received, stored, shipped and reported according to established procedures

· Reviewing effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of materials

· Resolving all issues with Return Materials Authorizations (RMA's), packages with no purchase orders, incorrect materials, incorrect pricing, and material shortages

· Interfacing with plant personnel for materials movements

· Responsible for shipping hazardous materials.

Education & Experience Requirements

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Knowledge of refinery operation with three to five years industrial experience preferred

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

· Proficient with SAP software preferred

· Must be able to work well under pressure, prioritize, and multi-task

· Must have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills with focus on customer service

· Moderate lifting required

· Ability to operate a Sit or Stand fork truck
