Haute Business Services is looking for an awesomely talented Senior HR Generalist to join our team. Haute Business Services support the entities that are Haute Companies; a promotional products business, agency, and lifestyle entertainment service.

The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of all Human Resource and Payroll services for all Haute companies including recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, benefits, payroll, record retention, performance management, HRIS maintenance, and policies and procedures.

What You'll Be Doing-

  • Manage the recruitment effort for all positions by partnering with managers to understand hiring needs and job specifications for open positions to effectively recruit and hire top talent. Create job descriptions and job postings, post jobs, source candidates and work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates. Prepare offer letters, conduct reference checks, and prepare job offers.
  • Manage Applicant Tracking System and serve as main point of contact for questions and support related to site. Ensure all new hire paperwork is processed in a timely fashion and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Manage onboarding process for all new hires and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Conducts employee orientation providing an understanding of cultural expectations, policies and procedures, and strategic plans, as well as company benefit offerings.
  • Process new hire paperwork using HRIS System and ensure compliance of new hires with state and federal guidelines.
  • Manage other human resource programs such as unemployment, leaves of absence, performance appraisals, reward and recognition, and training and development. Oversees and coordinates continuous improvement of all HR systems, workflows, and processes with the objective of establishing best practices and efficient processes.
  • Manage workers compensation program and ensure workplace injuries are reported and managed efficiently.
  • Maintain and manage company organizational charts.
  • Maintains and oversees benefits administration and compliance including enrollment, open enrollment, COBRA administration, 401K administration, and reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices. Serve as liaison between employees and insurance broker.
  • Coach and counsel employee and manager to resolve employee relations issues. Assist managers with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Ensure appropriate paperwork is on file and maintain for all employee performance issues.
  • Assist management and employees with the interpretation and understanding of all Haute's Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, education and assessments including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and skill tests and certifications.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct exit interviews analyze data and make recommendations to manager for corrective action and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need to Succeed-

  • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant Human Resources experience including full cycle recruiting experience, benefits administration, employee relations, and all other areas of HR.
  • A minimum of two years Payroll experience, with non-exempt and exempt.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with HRIS Systems; ADP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and how to set up new employer tax accounts in states.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law, and wage and hour.
  • Experience with California State Employment Law.
  • Customer service-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to create an exceptional employee experience by providing internal customer service through frequent and proactive interaction with team members and company leaders.
  • Ability to be nimble and handle changing priorities swiftly and with ease.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with Payroll Software.
  • Ability to quickly learn HBS's HRIS, talent management system, and Payroll system.

Even better-

  • Professional HR certification preferred.
  • Experience in HR Support role in restaurant industry preferred.
