Job Title: Manager-Location Intelligence

As a Lead Consultant for Google Maps, you would be involved in Business development and expansion in a specific region. You will inspire and advocate businesses of all sizes to leverage location-based intelligence, you will also help create a team centrally and expand into new regions as we grow. We are seeking, hard-core-geeks-turned-engineering-managers, turned-management-consultants, bored-of-delivering-80-page-PDFs, who are hands-on problem solvers and self-driven.


What's the Role about?

  1. This is an entrepreneurial business consulting/sales position that challenges the client status quo by helping them re-imagine the art of what is possible using a consulting mindset and business strategy skills.
  2. You shall create prospect, generate opportunities to drive impact; anticipate client needs and deliver superior results by leveraging each person's strengths to build high performing teams across businesses and borders
  3. Build deep relationships across a diverse network and use a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact
  4. Translate broader strategy into a compelling team vision and goals; aligns the team and sets priorities to achieve objectives
  5. Apply deep knowledge of cloud & location-intelligence trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement
  6. Establish a strong leadership brand and inspire followership through passion, integrity, and appreciation of others


Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage a P&L, Overall Sales Numbers for the Geo, create a robust team to generate and drive opportunities in the assigned market
  2. Work towards strategic goals while prioritizing an outstanding customer experience.
  3. Contribute to the territory strategy in developing growth opportunities.
  4. Major Involvement in developing deep, meaningful relationships with external stakeholders and seeking out opportunities for strategic partnerships across business verticals in different countries
  5. Drive business development, forecast accurately and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the end-to-end business cycle. Explore and understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
  6. Lead demand generation and other campaigns from conception, planning, execution, and launch to post-launch analysis. Establish key relationships cross-functionally with regional peers, Sales Operations, Product Management, Product Marketing teams; and identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  7. Analyze data trends and performance, prepare and conduct presentations, and maintain effective communication with customers via phone/email and video conferencing technologies. Maintain operational excellence for information relating to accounts and forecasts.


Qualification

Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. However there is no way to locate you otherwise. So we might look for at least a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a Masters in Management (preferably) from a reputed institute or you should have been solving real-world problems since you were 12. And the latter is better along with:

  1. 6-10 years of experience of business development, consulting sales experience on large-scale, services and cloud implementation
  2. Experience in platform / SaaS sales is a must

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience in working towards strategic goals in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products.
  2. Understanding the technology and cloud computing market and a passion for Google Maps and Cloud.
  3. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  4. Ability to build relationships and to deliver results in a cross-functional/matrixed environment.
  5. Ability to take initiative, work towards goals, and zoom in and out for the big picture with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.


Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications

  1. Master's degree in Business Management is preferred
  2. 3+ years of relevant experience in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS (cloud) products and platforms, GIS, Location intelligence, Maps (preferable)
  3. Relevant work experience of direct client sales, product marketing, online campaigns.
  4. Ability to easily connect with CxOs, Product Leads and decision makers.
