Job description

Summary:

  • Close residential mortgage transactions in a purchasable format to secondary market investor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete data entry into closing document software
  • Audit data against the following supporting documentation: Title Commitments, Investor Approvals and Locks, Appraisals, PMI Certs, Hazard Insurance Dec Pages, Tax Certs, Sales Contracts, Flood Certs, Surveys, and any additional documentation to meet loan approval or requirements of lender and investor.
  • Confirm closing document data matches all supporting documentation
  • Must be able to monitor own work for accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate above functions with loan originator, settlement agent, warehouse bank, investor, and borrower, when/if necessary.

  • One to two years mortgage closing experience
  • TRID Closing Experience required
  • General knowledge of the mortgage banking industry-preferably in correspondent environment
  • Previous experience working under limited supervision
  • Detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and time management skills to handle high volume periods.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
