Job Summary
The responsibility of the Financial Analyst is to assist the EVP/CFO and operate as the liaison for Operations, Accounting, Asset Management, and Construction departments. The incumbent will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and advise the company on its financial strategy.
Essential Job Duties
- Analyze financial statements and other financial business data.
- Analyze, develop plans, deliver financial reporting to investors, lenders, and regulatory authorities (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Complete submission of replacement reserve draws.
- Assist various departments and projects involving annual audits, property and casualty insurance, liability insurance, adjudicating casualty losses, analyzing escrows, company tax returns, evaluating potential acquisitions, etc.
- Prepare financial modeling of potential acquisitions to determine feasibility for existing and construction projects.
- Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
- Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required, Master's degree (M.A.) preferred, in Accounting or Finance. Three to five years of related experience.
Language Ability: Able to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Able to respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints. Able to write speeches/articles with innovative techniques. Able to make persuasive presentation on controversial or complex topic to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability: Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of place and solid geometry and trigonometry. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical ways.
Reasoning Ability: Applies logic/scientific principles to intellectual/practical problems. Interprets nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes). Able to deal with abstract and concrete variables. Adapts well to a variety of workplace stressors such as (customer service complaints, maintaining the security of people and property, competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the unit.)
Computer Skills: Must have high experience in Microsoft Office suite. Must be familiar working in accounting software; Yardi and RealPage are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
