Job description

The AC Hotel + Residence Inn Dallas by the Galleria is looking for a Human Resources Manager! The Human Resources Manager is a key player on our team who affects the engagement of our team members, as well as administer the human resources day to day functions.

PREREQUISITES:


    -Minimum of two years human resources experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
    -Minimum of two years of workers' comp and payroll processing experience
    -Bachelor's degree in related field OR a combination of related work experience and education.
    -Knowledge of state, federal and local laws
    -Must possess a winning attitude and have a passion for human resources
    -Must have the ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form
    -Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
    -Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays


RESPONSIBILITIES:

    -Manages benefits to include enrollment, confirmation of benefits, and trouble-shooting and resolving coverage-related issues.
    -Oversee bi-weekly payroll submission process.
    -Administer workers' comp claims to ensure appropriate team member care.
    -Oversee all team member relations matters related to federal, state and local employment laws.
    -Ensures compliance with all company policies.
    -Complete training of brand standards, corporate and new hire orientations.
    -Guide management through progressive discipline, coaching and counseling.
    -Recruit open positions for the hotel as needed.
    -Ensures all new hire paperwork, benefits, performance appraisals, disciplinary action forms and other pertinent personnel documents are filed appropriately and maintained in accordance with the company HR practices.
    -Assist with the facilitation of HR initiatives as directed.
