Primary Functions: The primary function of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert and collaborative thought partner behind Learning & Development programs that support BNSF Logistics guiding principles. This position will work collaboratively to bring new ideas to execution by designing, develop, and implement training initiatives to upskill the organization. The Learning and Development Program Manager will continue to enhance and drive BNSFL's purpose-driven culture, ensuring a fun and positive work environment. Basic Qualifications: A highly effective Learning and Development Program Manager will be a creative problem solver, comfortable with ambiguity, a highly effective communicator, and collaborative thought partnering. They are experienced in taking new ideas and driving them to execution and take initiative to complete tasks and projects quickly and autonomously. They will draw on a full array of learning and consulting skills that enable them to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities: Training Program Management: Serve as a subject matter expert with in-depth experience in content design and leverage design methodologies and applications that yield successful performance results. Collaborate with business leaders and functions to develop shared understanding of the learning and performance needs, as a result provide strategic alignment and governance for enterprise-wide development programs. Curate learning paths and experiences to meet just in time learning needs: Program manage and continuously improve existing training initiatives define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Develop and designs engaging and relevant learning solutions that align with business needs for large training events and individual training utilizing various delivery methods including instructor-led, experiential, job-aids, and self-study, e-Learning, video, gamification, blended and mobile-compatible. Create and manage training content and relevant materials that drive a highly experiential and applied learning experience. Partner and consult with key stakeholders to identify training needs, design training experiences, and support training roadmap development. Training Delivery & Evaluation: Implement effective learning and development methodologies and best practices, for both virtual and in person training experiences. Lead and facilitate live and virtual training delivery in an engaging and energetic manner. Create and manage training evaluation to measure the impact of training initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement. Implementation and Change Management: Utilize change management principles when consulting on and executing training programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional leadership to support the implementation of large-scale change management initiatives. Manage and improve training tracking systems and tools. Build and integrate Training best practices, systems, and tools. Manage and support additional development and implementation initiatives as needed. Education/Certifications and/or Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or other related field. Five or more years progressive experience in Learning and Development, including developing content based on Core Adult Learning Theory and Methodology. Committed to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion both on the team and through the training you develop. Strong Time Management, Organizational and Change Management Skills. Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented; demands and delivers high-quality work products. Technical Skills: MS Office and Authoring Tools (Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). Self-starter, able to build programs from the ground up. Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, rapid change; an experimenter by nature. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills; Articulate Speaking and Presentation Abilities. Willing to travel 25%. Disclaimer.
