Job description
Sales and Operations Planning Analyst
Our client, a major recycling company, who is the industry pioneer of environmental consciousness is looking for an accomplished and experienced Pricing Analyst with a unique skill set encompassing experience in finance, Supply chain, and Manufacturing. The personal level of commitment and responsibility in this role is substantial as this person will have a direct impact on customer sustainability while accomplishing goals relating to maximizing value to the company.
In this critical role, you will be involved in four key elements that provide broad exposure to all aspects of the company. The first is to ensure smooth account execution under the direction of the Sales and Operations Planning Manager. Second, maintaining customer satisfaction while maximizing value to the company. The third is managing inventory to company objectives. Finally, the position is responsible for financial reporting, planning, scheduling, and follow-up to adapt to changes in material flows, transportation, smelter operations, and other variables

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analysis, communication, and leadership skills and must have the ability to turn data into insight that inspires action. This individual will need to have the ability to interface with customers and maintain a high-quality relationship while being mindful of production optimization, inventory, production, and shipping plans, as well as oversight of budgeting and marketing intelligence
And what will your day-to-day look like?
Manage customer agreements
- Act as the primary contact for customer accounts for all scrap receipt and product deliveries
- Order entry, scheduling and execution of contracts. Manage changes as required
- Forecast, schedule, and manage receipts of tolling scrap per agreements and scrap bank targets
- Manage customer needs and preferences in line with company objectives
- Manage product shipments to optimize customer relationship cost
- Adapt to a highly dynamic production and market environment
Customer Management
- Maintain high-quality relationships with customer contacts
- Ensure monthly order completion
- Anticipate problems and recommend corrective actions
- Participate in customer complaint resolutions
Production Planning
- Produce to supply against firm orders
- Production optimization
- Manage inventory to company objectives
Analysis and Reporting
- Create production and shipping plans
- Monitor and manage deviations. Solve problems or elevate with recommendations
- Develop and maintain reports for effective control
- Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports for the FP&A department
Sales / Business Support
- Gather and distribute market intelligence
- Assess delivery capability for sales opportunities
- Assist in the yearly budget process
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 2 years SAP experience, SD module, or similar ERP
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High competence with MS Excel i.e., Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Charts
- SAP experience required
- Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience / understanding of metals and/or chemicals a strong plus
- Previous financial experience a strong plus
