We're looking for an energetic self-starter to join the Wealth Management Operations COO team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will support the Transformation and Operational Excellence work within Wealth Management Operations, leading diverse business activities including Op Ex process improvement initiatives with significant business impact. Candidate will manage critical change initiatives, projects, issues and programs as assigned with scope that can span across all Wealth Management processes and functions. Candidate will be accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Candidate will plan, organize, monitor and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion and adherence to Enterprise and department standards. Candidate will develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Candidate will effectively communicate with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Candidate will partners with the business to develop implementation and transition plans, including ongoing success measures to sustain the change.
In addition to superb project management skills, candidate must also be able to forge strong relationships throughout the organization to drive positive change and improve operational performance. The successful candidate will bring a passion for process analysis and design, deep critical thinking, and the proven ability to work collaboratively to solve business problems. Candidates should be open to learning new lines of business or functions, and demonstrate a willingness to fully partner with business subject-matter-experts, not solely manage through standardized processes and tools. This position will be highly visible across the Enterprise and requires a candidate who is comfortable with fast-paced work, demanding timelines and is capable of working independently.
Required Skills:
- Organized, detail and process oriented with strong execution skills and ability to drive towards continuous improvement; experienced in process design
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle
- Data analytics expertise - analyze data / trends to paint picture of current state, distill key learnings and effectively present improvement recommendations
- Confident stakeholder management, including experience in working with global senior Managing Directors
- Refined presentation & communication skills; the ability to synthesize information, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Creative problem solver with logical and systematic approach to solving problems
- Able to effectively collaborate, influence and navigate the enterprise; research and resource information across the bank
- Demonstrated PowerPoint presentation skills and ability to target messaging to different audiences
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel)
- Enthusiastic, energetic, determined and positive - especially under pressure, Intellectually curious and willing to learn and up-skill in new areas
- 3+ years of Project and Issues Management experience
- Ability to manage in a high volume, fast paced changing environment with good time management skills and the ability to manage teams
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to deliver across levels
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty
- Budgeting, cost control, and risk management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Global Operations businesses
- Experienced in applying Six Sigma methodology
- Agile methodology experience a plus
Performs qualitative and quantitative business analysis encompassing banking, functional design and systems issues within scope of assigned project. Typically coordinates successful resolution of issues arising during course of project to ensure timely completion of critical tasks. Ensures project objectives are achieved on schedule and monitored through detailed project work plan. Ensures projects are within scope of strategic and marketing plan for the Asset Management Group.
