Reference Test Clerk


Job Description:

Our client, a national provider of diagnostic testing, has an immediate need for a Reference Test Clerk at their Dallas, Texas facility. In this role, the Reference Test Clerk prepares and sends specimens and test requests to the proper reference laboratory for testing and releases referral test results into the computer system according to established procedures. Shift: Sun ? Thurs. 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Pay: $15-18 per hour based on experience. This position is a 3rd shift contract position with potential for long-term growth. Schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday, 9pm - 5:30am, $15/hr - $16/hr plus shift differential.


Responsibilities:


  • Unpack specimens and organize containers for further processing

  • Will work in a fast-paced environment handling a high volume of human specimens daily

  • Prepare all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments

  • Accurately perform data entry and verification of test requisition information


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required


Desired Background/Skills:


  • 1+ years of relevant experience is preferred


Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a face-paced, hands-on work environment

  • Prior experience in Manufacturing, Biotechnology or Healthcare is preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent computer skills including the ability to accurately type and perform data entry

  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as working with other team members

  • Flexible to work 2nd or 3rd shifts are required, including weekends or holidays
