What You Will Be Doing Overview:
Responsible for the Post-Closing Quality Control review and reporting. Provide monthly closed loan reports to our third-party vendor, coordinate with Department Managers any noted findings. QC Auditor will validate the findings, compile the Management Responses, and provide any necessary follow up documentation while fulfilling the quality control auditing functions to ensure compliance with the following:
Our policies and procedures
Agency guidelines
Federal and state regulations and laws
Advertising and Marketing
Third-party vendors
Maintain audit reporting models with detailed risk assessments and recommendations if/when needed.
Evaluate associated risks and ensure action plans for mediation are being adhered to.
Targeted and Discretionary audits will be conducted periodically.
Document and complete necessary action items for targeted audit findings and suspected areas of non-compliance to ensure controls are both adequately implemented and
In addition, strong written and oral communication is required to effectively undertake complex audits which are considered material to the Companys success and overall
The Auditor must demonstrate proficiency by properly exercising professional and expert judgment while maintaining objectivity and independence in forming audit review report and recommendations based on the findings.
Principal Accountabilities:
Work with Quality Control Manager to ensure scope is adequate and effectively
Work with Quality Control Manager to develop comprehensive risk assessment categories for adequately mitigating operational risk
Audit the roles and responsibilities within departments to ensure Policies & Procedures are maintained and all state and federal regulations are maintained and adhered
Work with Quality Control Manager to enhance current auditing
Provide consistent feedback from audits to the Quality Control Manager and calibrate modifications to both the review process as well as tools utilized to ensure an effective review program.
Obtain the monthly Compare Ratio Report and Neighborhood watch reporting from FHA Connection.
Collaborate with departmental leadership (and all examination results) to adjust audit findings into meaningful and useful practices (i.e., Quality Counts).
Ensure Quality Control Plan is adhered to and
Facilitate timely reports to managers and compiling final
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with research, resolution, and response to investors missing documentation and repurchase requests as necessary and/or requested.
Assist in research and responses for state, federal, agencies and investor compliance
questions and policy initiatives.
Attend any training and conferences deemed necessary by Quality Control Manager and/or required by Compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years underwriting, auditing experience with a variety of products which include but are not limited to Conventional/FHA/VA/USDA.
Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in an environment with numerous deadlines and demands.
Motivated self-starter, strong organizational skills, ability to maintain adherence to detailed guidelines.
Must be able to maintain privacy standards of sensitive company and associate information.
Must be able to maintain an amiable, team spirit approach and positive attitude always.
Preferred:
Manual UW experience with alt lending/ non-prime products, or government-insured programs; exposure to basic TRID requirements relative to timing and tolerance thresholds.
Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ShareFile.
