Overview

The Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter provides credit administration support and service to Banking teams. Perform independent credit analysis and risk assessment on larger and more complex credit relationships. Review and analyze borrower/guarantor financial information on an ongoing basis and assist with monitoring the financial performance of borrowers.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with a Business Banker, complete the loan application memo, prepare financial spreadsheets and analysis, and provide a written summary analysis for loan committee and review.
  • Complete comprehensive credit analysis and underwriting on larger and more complex credit relationships in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify and assess key risks associated with a borrower's financial performance, industry, and other variables that should be considered in determining a borrower's risk profile.
  • Review the proposed loan structure to determine if it is appropriate to sufficiently mitigate and manage risk.
  • Make independent recommendations regarding credit risk supported by comprehensive analysis.
  • Assist with loan portfolio management and monitoring.
  • Provide recommendations and day to day guidance on new and existing workflow process, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the training and development of other Credit Administration staff.
  • Serve as lead on any special projects as directed.
  • Consistently and accurately update all client data information and communication in database(s.)
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the Bank's financial analysis software to include any upgrades, training or new resources.
  • Comply with all credit administration policies and procedures.
  • Prepare management and board reports as directed.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and Credit Administration team in a highly professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years as a successful credit analyst or similar role in a commercial bank is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statement analysis and demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate key risks.
  • PC experience in a Windows environment, Word, and advanced spreadsheet experience on Excel is required.
  • Bachelor's degree with exposure to Accounting, Finance or Business courses is preferred or equivalent work experience.

Pay: Up to $116,457.00 per year
