Primary Functions: The primary function of this position is to manage all learning and development programs and change management initiatives within the organization while leading the learning and development and change management team in the ongoing development and improvement of company-wide programs and initiatives. Learning and Development: The Senior Manager will strategically transform and enable our Learning organization, both in design and delivery functions and teams, to execute all role based training and development needs across the organization. Through a deep understanding our of our external challenges and internal business priorities this role will pave the way in designing and delivering results oriented onboarding and ongoing learning solutions through multiple channels classroom, virtual, computer based, self-study to ensure the all of our employees are thriving in their specific roles. Change Management: The Senior Manager will drive the execution of multiple and ongoing change initiatives by partnering with business leaders in a manner that is most effective for the sustainability of the projects. Additionally, the Senior Manager will work with business leaders in developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Education/Certifications and/or Experience Qualifications: Broad knowledge of such fields as business administration accounting, marketing, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 10 years related training experience plus 5 years leading strategic change initiatives, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ADKAR certification is a plus. Basic Qualifications: Ability to strategically synthesize information with the ability to draw out key themes, trends, and risks. Develops trusting relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams with ability to influence without authority. Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion and independent decision-making in responding to unique situations. Skilled at framing issues at a business level to deal with challenging topics; highly effective at communicating to a range of audiences (verbal, written, visually). Demonstrates a high level of expertise in coaching, teaching and providing feedback in order to facilitate the making of recommendations as well as the ability to table issues with senior executives. Proven track record of delivery: Possesses a results-oriented mentality and is highly effective at coordination, execution, and follow-up focused on critical priorities to drive positive results. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them. Demonstrated people management experience in a fast paced environment. Position Responsibilities: Creates a learning culture for divisions/functions of the business that encourages continuous learning and feeds into career development. Provide leadership and oversight for all domestic and international learning initiatives, including but not limited to the company's new hire orientation, international compliance and certification training, job-specific training programs, sales training, and leadership development programs. Develops, executes and measures a set of actionable and targeted change management plans using change management methodology, frameworks, processes and tools to enable outcomes; including but not limited to organizational structure, key messages for communications, sponsor/stakeholder engagement plan, and business readiness and measurement plan. Continuously identifies leading practices to develop and applies tools, techniques and approaches to managing change throughout various levels of the organization. Leads the development of strategic change management planning working sessions with Business Leaders to include scoping, resourcing, identifying considerations and risks, recommended actions and deliverables using the change framework. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, learning and development activities, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness while supporting the organizations mission and business objectives. Monitors and anticipates future trends/consequences and creates innovative strategies to lead the training & organizational development initiatives. Manages the development of metrics and scorecard for organization development and change projects to determine the success of business solutions and impact. Establishes and maintains training, change and partnerships with vendors and relevant industry groups. Continue to enhance and drive BNSFL's purpose driven culture, ensuring a fun and positive work environment. Ability to travel 20-40% as determined by the needs of the business.
