Job description

Hilltop Holdings Inc. (NYSE:HTH) is a Texas-based diversified financial holding company specializing in banking, mortgage origination, and financial advisory through its wholly owned subsidiaries, PlainsCapital Bank, PrimeLending, and HilltopSecurities.


The Systems Administrator applies practical knowledge and performs activities in their area of focus. This role will support Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur Travel, SAP Concur Expense, SAP Concur Invoice, and Microsoft Dynamics applications. They will be responsible for ensuring solution availability, controls, configurations, and data integrity. In addition to handling service requests, they will manage document enhancement requests and maintain processes and procedures to support the day-to-day financial operations for all applications. They will be required to work independently with general supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and determine the systems needs of the organization
  • Keeps systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs
  • Create and manage application user accounts, assignment of roles, groups, and data access
  • Troubleshoot issues with application user accounts
  • Identify, document and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Manage and control application upgrades and system maintenance processes
  • Log and monitor enhancement requests for key functionalities/features not currently available in the existing applications
  • Manage application defects including tracking, issue resolution and escalation procedures
  • Ensure all scheduled tasks run to successful completion
  • Train and direct users on the correct use of features within the system
  • Apply critical thinking to solve customer or operational requirements
  • Run reports as requested by business users, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot data and workflow issues
  • Work with vendors' support teams to resolve system issues
  • Review and analyze data as necessary to assist in troubleshooting application issues
  • Prepare and/or maintain records
  • Enforce system controls in accordance with Hilltop's policies and procedures
  • Other functions as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT related field and/or equivalent formal training or equivalent work experience
  • A degree in Accounting or some Accounting experience is preferred, but not required
  • Two (2) - four (4) years related experience
  • Computer hardware, operating system (Windows or Mac) and software/application skills (MS Office Suite, Outlook), and Report Creation (Power BI, OTBI, Smart View)
  • Ability to maintain discretion in handling private information on data servers and throughout the network
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complicated computer concepts
