Currently the US is producing over 5% of all electricity by wind power and the goal is to have 20% of all electrical power generated by wind by 2030. This has created an exciting opportunity as more and more wind towers for electricity are being built at a significant pace both on and off-shore and the wind turbines require Commissioning, Preventative and Corrective Maintenance.

Wind Technicians are generally located on site at wind farms and as such require extensive time from home. Your lodging and a daily food allowance is provided in addition to your compensation.

All candidates must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a drug test and must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. You must be able to work an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse conditions within confined spaces at heights above 100 feet. Candidates must be able to work and manipulate 50 lbs and demonstrate visual acuity including depth perception, field of view and ability to distinguish colors.

Wind technicians work in small groups, so the applicant must have good communication and teamwork skills. You must be able to make decisions requiring critical thinking.

What will you do?

Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customer's requirements

Document all work performed

Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

Perform installation, inspection, comissioning or maintenance of completed turbines

Repair defects

Report policy or procedure violation

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems

Submit progress reports

Liaise with internal and external customers

Perform other duties as assigned
