A Day in The Life of a Superintendent
As a Superintendent, you will be on the jobsite managing daily construction operations. You will plan ahead for efficient project execution to drive the project schedule. Communication is critical to your success. You are responsible for safety, the quality of work, and for keeping the project on time and within budget.
Your positive, collaborative disposition comes through in all your interactions and is how you are able to foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and other stakeholders. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail ensure that their needs are met. You prepare reports and status updates for both your clients, stakeholders, and upper management over the course of the project. If there are any issues or changes, you are sure to keep everyone informed. You take great pride in your work and enjoy coming to work every day.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may have supervisory responsibilities for Assistant Superintendents on the assigned project.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, 40 hours or more per week.
Travel:
This position requires moderate local travel and some potential overnight stays. Reliable transportation is required.

. Requirements:Required Education and Experience:
- 5-10 years of prior Superintendent work experience in the construction industry.
- Current OSHA 10-hour safety training certification.
- Understands construction means and methods to enable creation of effective sequencing plans.
- Be able to read and accurately understand construction documents.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or similar field
- Current OSHA 30-hour safety training certification.
- Smartsheets experience
- Bluebeam experience
- Proficient in all MS Office software
- Procore experience
- Phoenix scheduling software experience
- Extensive knowledge of water intrusion and water proofing systems is a plus.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Satisfactory results from a drug screen, background, and MVR check.
- Must have valid driver's license and have current insurance.
- Ability to travel with some overnight stays.

- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, and going up and down stairs all day.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Able to read, write, and speak English, Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Specific visual abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 80 pounds without assistance.
