Job description

Brillient Corporation is seeking a General Clerk III to support document conversion, document destruction, records management and storage, and mailroom functions. This position will provide in-office support at the SBA office in El Paso.

QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or GED.
· 2 years of work experience, once of which is directly related.
· Fluent bilingual speaker (English and Spanish
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, applies common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagram instructions.
  • Strong reading and keyboard skills.
  • Possess effective time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must have mental ability to concentrate on fine detail such as daily report conciliation
  • Ability to repetitively lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull and transport objects using assistive equipment.
  • Possess US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance prior to start.
Job Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with various administrative matters.
  • Maintain financial and/or other records (stored both manually and electronically).
  • Verify statistical reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile information as requested.
  • Handle and adjust complaints and escalate employee issues and concerns.
  • Provide direction to junior clerk tasks to meet and exceed department requirements.
  • Makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of guides and manuals.
  • Provide training as necessary.
  • Provide clerical support in various departments, as necessary.
  • Meet and maintain production and quality goals.
  • Abide by all company safety regulations.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines. Must occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
