Job Description Summary

Manage all vendor relationships with regards to the purchase of goods and/or services for manufacturing processes; initiate contact with prospective vendors. Upon receipt of all goods and/or services create production schedules for the manufacturing department with the goal of ensuring a mutual agreement on both ends of the purchase concerning customer and company demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Source new vendors based upon vendor reputation and history.
* Contact prospective vendors and request price quotes for desired goods.
* Negotiate prices with vendors as necessary.
* Create and administer contractual agreements with the company's terms and conditions of the deal and enforce contract terms with procurement oversight.
* Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
* Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
* Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers; end any working relationship with a vendor if the vendor does not meet or agree to terms or expectations.
* Setup and monitor MRP system.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum two to four years work related skill, knowledge, or experience.
* Knowledge of confidential information policies, procedures and regulations that governs employee and employer confidentiality.
* Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, technical skill, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
* Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
* Experience with ERP system. (SAP preferred).
