Kelly is staffing for a Services Purchasing Specialist with a company in the chemical manufacturing industry! This role will be located in Freeport, TX.

Description: Role intended to enter and track all service invoices for the CM business unit. Candidate will be required to understand all service contracts with our vendors, enter purchased service requests aligned with master service agreements, and verify delivery of service in preparation for approving the invoice. Invoice checking will be a large part of this role as well.

Organizational Information: Position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance and Technical Services for CM. Performance management will be co-managed between Maintenance and Asset Directors in CM.

What's a typical day as a Services Purchasing Specialist? You'll be:

• Work with site procurement to understand master agreements for services for all vendors we typically do business with.
• Challenge internal CM team if service can be provided in-house
• For certain activity types, ensure a bid process has been followed and Bonus/Malice performed.
• Assist team with contracting strategy for the activity type and vendors based on knowledge of the master agreement.
• Enter all service PR for the business - including all non-maintenance service purchase requests and TAR requests.
• Provide look-ahead for approvers of PR for activities they will be required to approve.
• Collect performance data from execution teams for service providers; provide feedback to procurement on provider performance on behalf of the BU.
• Verify invoices, including timesheets, atlis, etc to ensure billing is correct
• Correct invoices with vendors when found to be incorrect.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• BS in business administration, or minimum 5 years processing purchase requests and invoices in SAP.
• Demonstrated ability to process contractual language into an action plan
• Knowledge of SAP reporting
• Winning, fearless attitude and willingness to challenge vendors when inconsistencies arise through invoices.
