Supply Chain Informatics (Business Systems Analyst)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 1-year related experience

Job Summary:

To participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business systems and processes based on departmental function. Uses information technology to provide reporting and analysis in support of current and future business environment as required according to institutional guidelines.

Major Duties/Tasks:

  • Designs and develops simple to moderately complex reports and documents for existing business processes and business rules using information systems. May require creating new databases or using existing ones.
  • Modifies processes to solve business issues utilizing current information systems.
  • Uses the application of technology to support current and future business environment; works independently or with appropriate information technology staff.
  • Assists in the development of high-level project definition and cost assessment of projects.
  • Prepares detailed functional specifications from high-level project definition.
  • Assists with the design and development of user test plans for new or enhanced business systems. Participates in user testing and coordinates results with appropriate information technology staff.
  • Partners with customers to facilitate oral and written communications, including the design and delivery of presentations.
  • Trains users in new procedures and systems. May design and develop simple to moderately complex training materials.
  • Participates as team member.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 -2 years previous EDI experience with PeopleSoft, GHX, and Jaggaer including but not limited to:
    • Manage new Supplier setups, DC setup changes, setup tolerances, and maintain system-wide setting changes .
    • Understand and troubleshoot XML data
    • Support and troubleshoot production systems as required while optimizing performance and reliability.
    • Uphold data integrity, manage EDI transactions and troubleshoot & resolve all EDI-related issues.
    • Coordinate implementation of new trading partners as well as troubleshoot connectivity and mapping issues.
    • Maintain Electronic Data Interchange programs to promote business efficiency and cost-effectiveness for Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting.
    • Demonstrate ability to document and communicate technical and business process flow to cross-functional teams globally.
    • Support troubleshooting critical Production support issues and Business Process development.
    • Create business documentation for current EDI-related business and internal processes.

Compensation:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
