Job description
Zytara's digital banking division is seeking a Controller to be a key member of their dynamic, growing team. The Controller develops systems and strategies within the corporate system to enable effective administration and management of financial activities. The Controller ensures that corporate financial systems and reporting meet statutory, regulatory, and ethical standards. The controller will report to Zytara's Executive Vice President of Digital Banking.
Responsibilities:
● Budgeting and Forecasting. Assisting senior management in P&L financial planning and results management.
● Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
● Design, establish and manage payment network settlement processes.
● Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
● Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
● Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
● Streamlining finance and accounting operations through automation and process standardization.
● Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
● Partner with management to develop and execute Zytara's aggressive growth plan and provide modeling/analytical support for strategic growth projects, software / systems development, and customer service improvement initiatives.
● Lead, inspire, and develop a growing team of financial professionals focused on enhancing enterprise-wide company growth.
● Effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and drive strategic decision making
● Lead planning and forecasting activities to achieve business and company goals.
● Report and provide in-depth analysis on monthly Actuals vs. Forecast / Budget to key team members.
● Create ad-hoc materials for C-suite and Board consumption.
● Continually keep a pulse on the business to identify ROI opportunities, manage risks and opportunities, and provide key financial and business support to leadership.
● Utilize corporate tools (e.g. Slack, Confluence and JIRA) to ensure solid communication with other Zytara personnel.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
● Certified Public Accountant preferred.
● 7-10 years of financial, planning and analysis experience.
● Prior experience in payment (card) environment preferred.
● Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
● Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
● Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
● Fluent in excel and PowerPoint, comfortable with analyzing large datasets.
● Experience managing and building out finance teams.
● Crypto or gaming experience is a plus.
● Should reside in the Dallas metro area.
