Position Summary

The Infrastructure Admin 2 supports server, storage, and network systems in a fast-paced corporate environment, this includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving automated monitoring alerts, performing system updates, and supporting related service desk tickets. The Admin will monitor, maintain, support, optimize and continuously improve infrastructure platforms including hardware, software, security, operating system, network, and associated technologies. The Admin will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties may include:

• Providing hands-on systems administration, maintenance, and operations support
• AWS (CloudFormation, EC2, Route 53, WorkSpaces)
• Windows servers on VMWare ESXi
• Windows Active Directory, Group Policies and Distributed File System
• LogicMonitor or similar monitoring tools
• MECM and third-party patching tools
• WAN, LAN, Citrix, and VPN
• Resolving incidents and performing root-cause analysis
• Optimizing performance and continually improving operations
• Supporting compliance requests for information and artifacts
• Collaborating with other parts of IT to improve technology services
• Delivering system status reports to stakeholders
• Following change management procedures

Education & Experience

• 5+ years' cloud, infrastructure, systems and/or network experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or another technology-related field preferred
• AWS experience with strong understanding of CloudFormation, EC2, Route 53, and WorkSpaces
• Significant experience in monitoring
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Scripting experience is a plus
• Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language
• ITIL certification or experience in an ITIL organization is a plus

Physical Demand & Work Effort

· Keying/typing, standing, walking.

· Sitting for an extended period.

· Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
