Job description

We are seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst that will partner with senior leaders to optimize business processes and develop future ERP roadmaps. The Senior Business Process Analyst will engage with key stakeholders in the organization to develop and agree medium to long term strategic plans and capability roadmaps, ensuring alignment with HollyFrontier objectives. The key to success is a broad knowledge of relevant technologies and trends, deep understanding of SAP, ability to communicate to business leaders regarding how this enables future business capability, and does so by considering local needs and global direction.


Preferred location - Dallas, Texas Area. (Can be remote / Must travel about 50%)


Oil and Gas / Refinery is required for the role.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with key business and IT stakeholders and executives to develop strategies for major IT initiatives, i.e. ERP strategy
  • Partners with key business stakeholders to define as-is and to-be processes
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business leadership.
  • Translates business processes and requirements to IT strategies and roadmaps
  • Aligns with the functional IT owner or geographic area and acts as the liaison between IT teams and the business.
  • Gathers business needs and gains alignment between business needs and technical capabilities, engaging with Business Analysts and Enterprise Architects.
  • Exhibits a broad understanding of functional disciplines and technical IT knowledge (applications, analytics, hardware, software, security, etc.) to identify opportunities to leverage information technology to achieve business objectives and assist in deployment.
  • Evaluates and recommends strategic vendors or partners to aid the development of future state processes.
  • Manages business expectations with business stakeholders based on IT resource availability.
  • Influences a global matrix organization and coordinate both regional and global stakeholders.
  • Identifies, documents, and drives strategic business value.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 plus years of IT experience or relevant functional Business - and process expertise appropriate to the role is required.
  • Experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Financial/Controlling (FI/CO) modules is required. IS OIL experience is preferred.
  • IT experience might be waived, if Business experience is strong and person can demonstrate a strong knowledge of IT and refining or commercial operations.
  • Experience in strategic decision making and successful influencing on leadership level is required.
  • Experience with, and exposure to, SAP technology and processes is required.
  • Experience building and communicating future business plans and capabilities along with being able to provide insights into the technologies needed for delivery is required.
