Job description

Overview:

Data Axle provides data, applications, and services that help organizations make and save money. Our commitment to accuracy, service and innovation drive customer acquisition, retention, and product enhancement. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible analyzing financial information and providing reports of key financial metrics to management that will be used to make business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review all financial data regarding business operations.
  • Provide reports to management that display key financial metrics.
  • Perform month end close activities, journal entries, and close commentary.
  • Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making financial decisions.
  • Partner with the Sales team on commission plans including plan development and calculations.
  • Recommend key financial metrics that will provide management with additional visibility into business operations.
  • Prepare trend and sensitivity analysis based on YTD actual results, previous historical information or new projection information in order to provide financial and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist in the annual business plan preparation, including the capital expenditure summary and base year assumptions.
  • Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical financial reports.
  • Manage a large volume of data and create comprehensive and useful financial reports.
  • Work on strategic projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years' experience working with financial analysis and standard financial metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with month end close and commission plan administration.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the Company and with various business contacts outside of the Company in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt existing systems to fast-changing requirements.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables.
  • Ability to partner with business leaders and provide actionable financial data to improve business performance.
  • This position may be performed remotely and will be filled outside the state of Colorado.
