POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP of Mortgage Servicing is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day mortgage servicing operations for the Oklahoma City office including identifying areas of the business that need improvement and implementing solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, builds and maintains a servicing platform across multi-site operational centers
  • Establishes and maintains working partnerships with the business units supported and provides a superior level of customer service consistent with the organization's business model
  • Drives change throughout the organization while supporting organization initiatives
  • Manages the overall workflow of the Loan Servicing team to maintain acceptable service levels, while achieving financial targets
  • Develops internal policies and procedures, including the ongoing review and update as needed to accommodate changes in business or regulatory needs
  • Manages staffing needs and skills, anticipating volume growth and business needs
  • Prepares and/or ensures all management reporting requirements are met, which can include project status, volume statistics, etc.
  • Researches and resolves issues as well as disputes
  • Maintains full responsibility for working with investors and clients, securing new business, driving revenue growth, and managing investor relations
  • Delivers presentations to high profile investors looking to invest in the company, aiding in maximizing revenue potential
  • Monitors and maintains standards of servicing operations to ensure audit ratings of Satisfactory or better and provide appropriate recommendations/solutions to audit findings
  • Develops, maintains and enhance working relationships with all auditors and/or examiners
  • Trains and mentors direct reports in meeting objectives and exceeding performance targets
  • Recommends strategic direction and in-depth expertise through coordination, implementation and delivery of services
  • Contributes to business strategies by developing actionable plans or programs and ensures integration of related functions
  • Establishes business plans, policies, procedures that support and align with Company initiatives and strategies
  • Monitors plans and programs to ensure alignment with business objectives and other functions
  • Implements and monitors process and service delivery improvement
  • Practices Financial stewardship as appropriate for position
  • Negotiates financial agreements (e.g. contracts or services) that have an impact on the business and approves in accordance with signing authority
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure alignment with business needs
  • Identifies customer needs and opportunities to ensure that all programs and services drive value
  • Seeks and reviews suggestions for improvements in services and programs
  • Monitors function and/or team activities to ensure alignment with needs of multiple customer groups
  • Accountable for team performance and development
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in the following areas: Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, FHA, and experience with third party services
  • Broad knowledge base related to regulatory agencies, including CFPB, GSEs and GNMA
  • Extensive knowledge of offshore strategies and implementation techniques
  • Proven ability to forge solid relationships with strategic partners and build consensus across multiple organizational levels
  • Accomplished professional with diverse experience in mortgage, banking, and financial services
  • Adept in leading teams, surpassing objectives, driving revenue growth, and improving retention
  • Project management experience, including both management and participation responsibilities for planning, testing, documentation, training and implementation
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, proposing and accepting compromises for issue resolution
  • Accomplished communication skills
  • Aptitude for understanding and managing system functionality and the related ongoing maintenance, development and upgrade processes
  • Ability to create, document and present ideas for an executive level audience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years excelling experience in Mortgage Servicing Loan Operations, including in-depth and hands-on experience with performing and newly originated loans
  • Minimum 8 years directly managing employee issues (performance reviews, conflicts, mentoring, etc.)
  • Experience working with MSRs
  • Prior responsibility for developing and implementing department level policies and procedures, as well as the quality control practices to ensure procedures are followed
  • Experience with identifying operational risks and developing the appropriate mitigating controls, including the ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of the documented controls


MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Familiarity of various mortgage servicing systems including MSP
