Job description
Job Title: Accounts Payable
Reports To: Corporate Controller
Job Summary
Responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring payments to vendors are processed in a proficient and timely manner. Participate in cash management functions. Work in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve the company's Core Values, Service Commitments, and goals.
General Accountabilities
- Manage all aspects of the accounts payable process in a timely and accurate manner: vendor maintenance, invoices, payments, statement reconciliation, 1099's
- Review and process all invoices for payment.
- Prepare Vendor Request forms, obtain W9s.
- Maintain all accounts payable files.
- Complete credit applications.
- Communicate with vendors to correct any errors and respond to inquiries.
- Determine appropriate general ledger coding; monitor invoice approvals and workflow.
- Analyze, verify, and post transactions to journals.
- Analyze, investigate and correct accounts payable entries as needed.
- Support month-end close, including preparation of AP accruals.
- Prepare accounts payable and vendor reports as needed.
- Communicate with staff and vendors regarding invoices and AP aging statements.
- Assists the accounting team to analyze current processes to maintain best AP practices.
- Prepare Check Runs, ACHs and Wires.
- Upload credit card transactions to QuickBooks for journalization.
- Enter, match, and process bank transactions in QuickBooks.
- Complete monthly closing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide audit support, prepare documents as requested by auditors.
- Assist with special projects, or other tasks as necessary.

Job Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years related A/P experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Healthcare accounting experience preferred
