Commercial Landscape/Irrigation Superintendent
Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. a leader in providing quality Landscaping, Irrigation, Landscape Maintenance and other Commercial Services is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Landscape/Irrigation Superintendent for the Austin, TX location.

Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. is a minority owed and operated, fast-growing company serving commercial and residential customers in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.

Job Summary:
Assist in management of commercial landscape/irrigation department resources to complete contractual responsibilities per job specifications. Assist with customer concerns, special billings and daily/weekly reports; assist in collection of delinquent accounts, management of all field labor to ensure jobs are completed on schedule and within budget. Assist in quality control of on-site landscape/irrigation projects and assist with managing on-going projects from a site management perspective as well as other job functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for scheduling all current and on-going landscaping/irrigation work for commercial customers.
  • Submit interdepartmental and special request (for existing commercial landscape/irrigation customers) billing.
  • Develop customer relations.
  • Provide on-site quality control and project management to ensure that project stays on schedule and in compliance
  • Complete special projects as assigned by direct management and company owners.
  • Approve sharing of company resources (tools, trucks and manpower) between crews.
  • General on-site supervision of all commercial landscape/irrigation field workers on all jobs in progress from conception to punch list signoff.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of on-site project management,
  • Ability to lead numerous field laborers in order to ensure job completion.
  • Proven track record of excellence in completion of jobs on schedule and in accordance with the required specifications to benefit the company's revenues. Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to independently make accurate Financial Sales decisions and analyze risk.
  • Successful completion of industry-related training programs such as OSHA training etc.
  • Landscape & Irrigation certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to analyze job cost/benefit of issues and to assess risk to make profitable business decisions.
  • Four (4) to five (5) years in the Landscape Construction industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
