Distribution Manager

Job description

Sunday Riley is looking for an exceptional Distribution Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations. These operations include shipping, inventory, delivery. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.

SHIPPING

• Ensure all purchase orders ship out in a timely and accurate manner, with a goal of improving quality and speed. Respond quickly to the needs of internal and external customers.
• Identify process improvements to ensure orders ship at the beginning of the ship window and adhere to our quality control standards.
• Track and report daily on quality control, fulfillment status, and any issues.
• Report monthly on shipping efficiency.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• Continually reassess workload and determine staffing needs. Ensure the efficient management of labor hours and consumable supplies within budge. Create responsive work schedules, including extra workdays and shifts as needed.
• Strategically plan, direct and oversee daily workflow and deliverables across all functions
• Ensure shipstations are well organized and safe.
• Practice MBWA (Management by Walking Around) to do safety and quality checks, listen to employees, and to enforce policies.
• Responsible for onboarding, procedures training, and safety of employees. Ensure a safe, organized, compliant, and clean work facility. Communicate and re-enforce workplace safety practices.
• Evaluate individual and team performance for quality control, speed, efficiency, productivity, and positive impact to Company culture. Maintain performance review documentation, deliver verbal and written feedback as needed.
• Interview and hire prospective new team members.
• Create and maintain a safe, enjoyable and professional work environment.
• Adhere to all OSHA guidelines.

INVENTORY

• Manage inventory accuracy within the ERP. Manage and direct all Inventory Cycle Counts on a weekly basis. Thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and reporting on them.
• Strategically plan, direct and oversee daily workflow and deliverables across all functions
• Ensure the efficient management of labor hours and consumable supplies within budget and work schedules including extra workdays and shifts as needed.
• Manage and control Inventory within the ERP. Manage and direct all Inventory Cycle Counts on a weekly basis. Thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and reporting on them.
