About You
We are looking for an Energy & Climate System Specialist to be located in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be part of the Global Scope 2 Reporting Team and Commercial Specialist for hydrogen, renewable energy and emissions (NOx, Sox, VOCs), contributing with Dows targets to be a leader in clean energy and ESG reporting. You will engage with the Energy Commercial Management Team globally and will work with cross functional teams composed of IT, Tech Center and Finance.
Also, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Energy Emissions reporting systems Subject Matter Expert, in charge of monthly coordination of our external vendor ENEL X and with our Energy commercial team. Validates data input aligned with the work process and controls in place. Knowledgeable about internal and external audit procedures and familiar with external reporting frameworks such as the Task force for Climate related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
- Leader of the expansion of ENEL X reporting system to cover 100% of our sites globally and participation in system automation projects for increased data accuracy and transparency.
- US Gulf Coast hydrogen commercial coordinator, in charge of month end closing.
- Assist with the management of emissions and Renewable Energy Certificate commercial transactions for North America (RECs, NOx, SOx, VOCs, etc).
- Security Administrator for European Share point for Dows scope 1 emissions aligned with Emissions Trade Scheme compliance guideline (Actuals & Forecast).
- Monitor the Global Paid On-Time BI report for utilities (monthly) including business invoicing improvements with Apay.
- Maintain the utility focal point contact list for energy and non-energy sites.
- Back up for Texas power closing.
Your knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
- Strong organizational, facilitative and communication skills.
- Proficient in SAP is useful (purchase and sales order, invoice and vendor codes).
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Technical proficiency in the use of computer applications and sound analytical skills are necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (expertise in Excel and MS Teams) and SharePoint.
- Inquisitive, problem solver and eager to learn.
- Ability to learn quickly and rise to any challenge.
- Stringent work process aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and deliver key solutions and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree OR relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher OR 5 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
