As an HR Generalist for Ashling Partners, you will be a trusted consultative partner within the People Operations team as well as across Ashling Partners to all employees, partners, and stakeholders. You will help shape an inclusive and engaging culture that drives business results and you'll be a significant contributor to our People programs and initiatives. Develop data-driven solutions focused on improving both operational efficiencies and employee experience, identifying both short and long-term opportunities. You will assist with talent acquisition, workforce planning, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, performance & development, as well as acting as the office manager for our Houston office location. You will be a force multiplier and work to help increase productivity, retention, and engagement throughout our global organization. What You Will Do:
- Support and contribute to the ongoing development of HR programs and processes to deliver a great employee experience. This includes workforce planning, performance review cycle, engagement, learning and development, total rewards programs, policy changes, process improvements, and more.
- Consult with managers and supervisors, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners, drafting communications, creating manager and employee-facing resources, process mapping.
- You will work on projects focused on the enhancement of the employee experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to determine the preferred attributes for potential hires and work to fill positions timely and with best-in-class talent.
- Assist with developing job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Be an Ashling Partners ambassador, both digitally on LinkedIn and In-person, at job fairs, conferences, and other events while actively working toward building a diverse and highly qualified team.
- Maintain employee files & organizational changes in HRIS.
- Conduct employee & client surveys to measure NPS, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Streamline onboarding and exit process for employees.
- Act as the office operations lead for the physical Houston office, including managing vendor relationships, maintenance, events.
- Purchase office & kitchen supplies and miscellaneous office equipment.
- Plan and execute corporate & social events ranging from recruiting events & holiday parties to team building outings.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 2+ years in technical recruiting
- 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a high growth start up environment
- Experience working in an Applicant Tracking System to connect with potential candidates and maintain efficiencies in the recruiting process
- Prior experience working with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other technically focused sourcing tools (GitHub, StackOverflow, etc)
- A drive to work with a diverse team that strives for fairness in hiring people of all backgrounds
- Experience working in an HRIS system to ensuring data integrity, process & workflow optimization, and end user training
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office & SharePoint development
- Confident, determined, with a self-motivated 'get it done' attitude
- Comfortable with change, and flexible & versatile in attitude, approach, and thought process
- Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced start up environment
- Ability to work independently and multitask with attention to detail and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, candidates, and key influencers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
- PHR certification a plus
