IT Field Engineer

TEKsystems is hiring in Houston, TX!

Our client in West Houston (a Managed Service Provider) is looking for a skilled IT Field Engineer to support their 15-20 local clients with day-to-day hardware and software support, network and systems infrastructure implementation/design projects, and deskside support at locations within a 20 miles radius of Central Houston.

This is a Direct-to-Hire, permanent salary position with an expanding company.

Description:

•Design and implement LAN/WAN and server infrastructure

•Implementing and migrating Hyper-V and VMware

•Create Disaster Recovery Plans and perform backup & restores effectively

•Perform system migrations including O365, P2V, V2V, office moves, data center, ISP and on-prem to Cloud/Azure

•Work closely with vCIO and team members to design technical solutions to meet client business objectives

•Provide pre-sales design and support to internal team members.

•Serving as a technical escalation point for engineering staff

•Participate in project work plans/ collaboration with Project Managers
