Landscape Construction - Crew LeaderJOIN A DIFFERENT KIND OF LANDSCAPE TEAM.We are different than other landscape companies. We focus on designing and building ecological landscapes that provide habitat for wildlife and promote sustainability with native species.You can be a full-time Crew Leader that grows within this small but fast-growing company.You can grow within Restoration Organics with the educational opportunities we offer to expand your professional development.You will learn to identify native plants, how to build functional landscapes, and what is needed to establish habitats for our local eco-regions.AS A CREW LEADER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE: IN THE FIELD:Using landscaping tools and operating heavy equipment as needed.Removing and planting and removing trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants.Removing existing trees and plants.Installing hardscapes (gravel, pavers, stones.)Digging, spreading soil, compost, and/or mulch.Removing invasive plants and sod.Installing erosion control methods.CREW MANAGEMENT:Safely driving crews to and from jobs, adhering to Company's safety policy, and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews.Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members.Maintaining the provided schedule, and ensuring service goals are met.Providing the owner with feedback on crew members.Assisting in the development and training of crew members.Turn in accurate crew time logs via the app.Complete task reports daily from the app.JOBSITE MATERIALS:Pick up and deliver project materials and supplies.Inspect and accept materials delivered to the site.SAFETY:Performing safety checklists with the crew and making sure all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies.Checking that equipment is in good working order and receives scheduled maintenance.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years experience in professional landscape construction.An experienced driver with a clean driving record and the ability to pull a 20' trailer.Able to provide clear written and verbal instructions.Must be able to easily lift and move 50-lbs repeatedly.Be prepared to work in all types of weather conditions.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Cannot have convictions that bar you from working around children.Willing to adhere to strict safety standards at all times.Understand that this is a drug-free workplace.Must be able to take on overtime and weekend work when necessary, especially during the busy spring and fall months.Must provide previous job references.NOT REQUIRED, BUT BENEFICIAL: Irrigation LicenseExperience with constructing hardscapes e.g. paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, etc.Able to read and interpret construction plansBENEFITS: Year-round workWeekly payPaid time off and sick days for full-time employeesPaid training workshops and coursesOpportunities for growth within the companyPaid time off to voteABOUT RESTORATION ORGANICS: At Restoration Organics, the Landscape Laborer role is more than just a job- it's an opportunity to make the world a better place, one job site at a time.
