Job description

The primary purpose of the Recruiter position is to focus on the full lifecycle recruitment process with overall responsibility for the sourcing, delivery and presentation of qualified candidates. The Recruiter will drive the assessment of external and internal talent to fill MDACC vacancies. Partners with hiring managers to determine current and future staffing needs. Cultivates relationships with clients and candidates.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Recruitment Strategies

  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality recruitment to a group of assigned clients.
  • Knowledgeable of employment market conditions, trends in recruitment, employment law and specific area of assignment.
  • Identifies client business objectives with client, the HRGO and the Centers of Excellence.
  • Executes against pre-agreed strategies and goals while aligning the right resources, with the right functions and at the right time.


Collaboration
  • Partners with Talent Advisors to convey a clear understanding of position requirements for pivotal positions so that sourcing efforts are directed to development of candidates with the right skill mix necessary for the position.
  • Builds and maintains relationships and business partnerships with hiring managers, HR colleagues, external organizations, and candidates. Manages external vendors and agencies to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and practices.


Salary Recommendation
  • Provides compensation recommendations to hiring departments based on institutional policy and market data.
  • Extend and negotiate formal offer.
  • Demonstrates awareness of salary trends and brings relevant information to Compensation for review.


Documentation
  • Ensures accurate and current records in ATS throughout the recruitment process to include tracking of all activity. Ensures new hire paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner.


Problem Solving
  • Demonstrates initiative and facilitates the resolution of departmental and divisional issues without prompting.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

Experience

Required: Three years of professional Human Resources experience in a fast-paced, large and complex organization. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred: Healthcare recruitment or recruitment experience.
