Job Description

The Sr. Accountant-Controllership at Lionstone Investments performs daily accounting and treasury activities for various entities. You will conduct general ledger accounting and reporting functions, assist with treasury management, and provide support to leadership in goal development, monitoring and achievement of goals at year end.

Responsibilities

  • Create and post general ledger journal entries for Lionstone business unit and numerous general partner entities managedc by Lionstone, including all treasury movements, tax, vendor payments, and general accounting transactions. Perform bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in treasury and tax preparation and reporting.
  • Perform various treasury functions, including processing wire transactions, monitoring and reporting daily cash activity, and maintaining accounts payable, creating and delivering contribution and distribution letters to general partner investors, and maintaining capital balance position of general partner investors.
  • Serve as System Administrator for internal Treasury systems and on-line banking platforms. Act as a liaison with internal business and external partners on troubleshooting issues related to user access.
  • Assist in processing all bank account opening and closing requests, updates to banking services and changes to authorized signers by ensuring appropriateness of request and approvals, gathering and submitting all required legal documentation and partnering with banks to ensure correctness and completeness of the request.
  • Support management in development of goals, objectives and annual accountabilities as well as monitoring and successful implementation of those goals throughout the year. Participate in both departmental and cross functional projects as requested by Leadership. Effective collaboration with both internal and external business partners on daily operational issues.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience
  • 1+ year of treasury experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to deal effectively with internal business partners
  • Attention to detail and deadline oriented


Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA Certification
  • Real Estate Experience
  • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and Word)
  • Experience with Workday general ledger
