Job description
Award winning and established Technology firm providing industry leading solutions in numerous verticals (Commercial, Enterprise, Global, Healthcare, SLED, etc.) is continuing it's growth and adding to their team . The current need is for a Sr. Linux / Automation / DevOps Consulting Engineer (Ansible) with strong Ansible and Automation Engineering expertise.
This will be a REMOTE role when not in front of clients that will be high profile and allow for you to shape the direction of numerous technology / practice initiatives.
Excellent cross training culture is provided for Engineers with strong aptitude. You will have the ability to take advantage of generous training budgets and time off from projects to gain additional certs and / or attend relevant classes.

- Strong experience some of the following technical arenas:
- RHEL/CentOS/OEL/Rocky Experience
- Base OS experience (Installation, Configuration, Maintenance)
- Container experience (Docker, Podman, etc.)
- Deploying containers from existing repos
- Creating custom containers (Dockerfile, etc.)
- Managing containers
- Kubernetes / RedHat OpenShift a bit plus
- Patch/Package Management
- Deploying large numbers of physical servers (PXE-boot, etc)
- RedHat Satellite 6
- Identity Management
- RedHat Identity Management (FreeIPA)
- OpenStack (Private Cloud) is a plus
- Ubuntu/SuSE matching above would be a nice to have
- Ansible
- Developing Ansible Playbooks & Roles
- Deploying Ansible Tower
- Integrating DataCenter Infrastructure with Ansible
- Network Switches (Cisco NX-OS, ACI, MDS, etc.)
- Compute (Cisco UCS, HPE, Dell, etc.)
- Storage (NetApp cDOT, EMC Isilon/VMAX/PMAX/Unity/PowerStore/etc.)
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, gCloud, etc.)
- Puppet / Chef / Salt skills that match above would be a nice to have
- Scripting
- Python Scripting
- Shell Scripting (sh, ksh, bash)
- PowerShell is a nice to have
- Other languages are a nice to have
- VCS
- Ability to use a VCS (git, github, bitbucket, etc.)
- Ability to configure a private VCS server/instance
- "Agile"
- CI/CD Knowledge (Jenkins, etc.)
- Non K8s Container Management (Rancher, Docker Swarm, etc.)
- Configure Management (CMDB, ServiceNow, etc.)
