DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY - Full Time
Huntsville Memorial Hospital

As a full time, exempt CPS® Director of Pharmacy at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and weekends and on-call on an as needed basis.
About the Facility: For nearly a quarter century, Huntsville Memorial Hospital (HMH), an 123-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital, has been making strides in setting the standard for quality, cost-effective healthcare in Walker County and surrounding communities. The services they provide include cardiac rehabilitation, expanded outpatient physical therapy, home care, sports medicine, and transitional care. They help bring these services out directly into the community through health and wellness services at work sites, civic presentations and health screenings. The vision and purpose is to provide benevolent and charitable services for the sick, infirm, and afflicted residents of Walker County through the establishment, maintenance, support, and operation of a hospital. HMH is expanding their facilities to better meet the new healthcare options and quality standards set in the healthcare industry today. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 6:30am-10:00pm and Saturday/Sunday from 7:30am-4:00pm. There is a remote pharmacy order entry service when the pharmacy is closed. This centralized pharmacy utilizes Pyxis ADC's and CPOE.
Required Qualifications:
* BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
* Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
* Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment with at least 2 years of management experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
* Ability to solve problems and establish trust and credibility.
* Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff.
Hospital Requirements:
* (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
* (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
* Hepatitis B (not required, highly preferred) - 3 documented doses or a blood titer proving reactive status
