The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

Wells Fargo Auto offers integrated financial services solutions designed primarily for the auto dealer community, providing financing and related services to both dealers and consumers nationwide.

This role will lead the Auto Bankruptcy (BK) Operations team with a span of 7-9 direct reports and 60+ employees. This leader will have responsibility across multiple locations and lead teams accountable for the end to end processing and monitoring of bankruptcy related functions such as new filings, case updates, proof of claims, payment plans/objections, motion for relief, repossession and other BK related activities. This leader will also drive bankruptcy related initiatives to reduce risk, identify process improvement opportunities to achieve optimal organizational effectiveness and ensure alignment with all Auto and Enterprise required standards.

Specifically, this leader will recruit, train, coach and develop a diverse leadership team, build and maintain strong working relationships with legal, control, compliance and other Auto line of business partners, analyze market trends to determine appropriate staffing strategies and plan, organize and direct managers and staff in accomplishing business goals.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of financial industry experience
  • 5+ years of loss prevention experience in the financial services industry
  • 5+ years of management experience in the financial industry

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively listen and elicit information
  • Bankruptcy experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy, litigation, and workout issues
  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge/Ability/Experience in bankruptcy and leading teams in bankruptcy operations and/or servicing.
  • Proven leadership with an ability to prioritize and drive business initiatives to completion.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule in accordance to the time zone for the market you are supporting
