Job Summary
The Investor Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Investor Accounting department. This position is responsible for ensuring all investor guidelines are adhered to including the accurate and timely reporting and remittance requirements. Also responsible for ensuring all servicing related cash is posted to the proper custodial accounts daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures the completion of accurate and timely reporting and remittances to investors/master servicers within the established timeframes. Maintains a professional relationship with each investor and internal departments such as Finance and Cash Management. Maintains an awareness and working knowledge of all servicing contracts and investor guidelines. Responsible for ensuring these guidelines are adhered to.
- Ensures the accurate and timely reconciliation of all custodial, clearing and general ledger accounts assigned to the Servicing Department within the established timelines. Ensures exception items are handled in compliance with corporate and investor policies and requirements.
- Monitors the daily workflow to ensure controls on documentation, productivity and quality.
- Oversight of daily cash management including the accurate and timely processing of all wires and cash movements ensuring all activity is in compliance with corporate investor policies and requirements.
- Responsible for training and development of employees within Investor Accounting and assists with training and oversight of employees in the Cash Management department. Develops and maintains policies and procedures when needed.
- MERS Administrator ensuring compliance with all the MERS Rules of Membership.
- Schedules and Coordinates Service Releases.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience
- Minimum of six years work experience in investor accounting
- Minimum of two years supervisory or leadership experience
- Working experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting servicing contracts
Functional/Technical Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of agency reporting, remitting requirements, and investor guidelines
- Working knowledge of MERS rules and terms of agreement
- General knowledge of GSE loan portfolios including FHLMC, FANNIE and GNMA
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Displays strong organizational skills and manages time effectively
- Demonstrates initiative

- Possesses strong program-solving skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows applications
