About the role
Imaginet does not sponsor work visas or offer relocation fees. We will only consider candidates living in the US or Canada. Must be a US or Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid work permit. Travel to and from the US and Canada may be required.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst, to provide leading business and information technology consulting services to our clients.
We are looking for confident Business Analysts who understand how organizations function, perform and change, with broad skills in capturing and analyzing data, analyzing and solving sophisticated business problems, writing and presenting, facilitating and mentor.
Grounded in business, you are also proficient in technology - able to assess a client's current technical environment and develop technology requirements and conceptual solutions to meet business objectives. You are at ease working with all levels of client organizations - from the executive suite to the front line.

- Rock our client's expectations. Whether you're gathering business requirements, brainstorming ideas, or designing and architecting a solution - your positive attitude will make our clients feel like their needs are met and exceeded.
- Learn on the fly. You'll learn new systems and work with cutting-edge technologies. You'll also modernize legacy systems and create solutions directly with client teams.
- Get S#!T done, together. You'll lead, guide and mentor blended teams in analyzing, architecting, and developing new software solutions for our clients.
- Get it done right. You'll perform continuous review of technologies, industry standards and industry-related developments so you can ensure we're using best practices and processes for gathering and documenting requirements.
- Build a process inventory that encompasses all inputs and outputs of System Software and related modules
- Evaluate processes for potential improvements and provide recommendations to key
- Stakeholders
- Elicit requirements for a future state System software/software as a service (SaaS)
- Identify solution interdependencies between any future state Integrated System software/SaaS and existing software/SaaS
- Collaborate closely between information technology teams and business teams
- Identify, validate, and prioritize clients' business needs and requirements
- Participate in and/or lead requirements workshops/JAD sessions to identify business needs and requirements
- Document current business processes, business flows, rules, and artifacts, and propose solutions to improve these
- Produce detailed requirements documents and requirements traceability matrices
- Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop strategies for improving and demonstrating system capabilities
Requirements
What you'll bring to the team:
- 3 or more years of multifaceted experience as a Business Systems Analyst in related Information Technology / Information Systems environments.
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certified preferable
- Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related equivalent experience
- Detailing business rules, data models, business cases and summaries
- Business process re-engineering and modeling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of Business Analyst tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Work effectively within timelines and delivery requirements.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients and can clearly communicate your ideas.
- Experience in Agile methodologies will be an asset.
- Passport and are willing to travel for work.
- Must live in Canada or the United States.

Travel policy:
Imaginet has clients world-wide, most in North America, and not necessarily located locally. Travel is usually not more than a week per month (on average) and generally less than five weeks in a year. Work-life balance is important to us, and we always try to accommodate both our employees and our clients. For some projects where our clients are local, we may work in their offices for most or all of the project.
