Staff Accountant, 60K-65K

Job description

Parker+Lynch is working with a food manufacturer in the Irving area that is adding a new Staff Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate for this position will already have at least 1 year of Staff Accountant experience in month-end close. They are also looking for someone with general accounting experience.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform credit card and bank account reconciliations for multiple companies.

· Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments;

· Accurately identify and record expenses in affiliated companies using inter-company accounts;

· Resolve discrepancies with payables, receivables, and general ledger account coding;

· Prepare various accrual entries along with providing supporting documentation;

· Maintain frequent contact with internal/external employees and vendors to address all problems;

· Provides traceable supporting documents during month-end procedure, and participates in review/audits;

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting

· 1+ year experience in accounting

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
