Job description

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Control Lab Technician position at a specialty chemical company in LaPorte TX. The overall responsibility of the position is to provide routine and non-routine analytical support to ensure that the final products manufactured at the facility are within quality specifications.

Lab **Responsibilities**

+ Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation including GC, HPLC, density meters, automated titrators, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, IC, and other equipment.

+ Test raw materials for qualification and approval to be used in the production of the company's products

+ Analyze samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.

+ Provide final approval of shipments to customers based on qualification of finished product

+ Record test results on forms, input data into LIMS, writes test reports describing results and procedures, and create COAs for final product shipments

+ Prepares and maintain quality control chart.

+ Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments

+ Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas

+ Order and maintain supplies/chemicals.

**Requirements**

+ BS in Chemistry or related scientific discipline

+ 2 years of Industrial lab experience is preferred, but fresh graduates will also be considered

+ Ability to communicate data and analytical results clearly, concisely, and effectively

+ Able to gather and analyze information and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

+ Able to work with minimal supervision

+ Must be a reliable team member, consistently adhering to work schedules and following through on commitments

+ Strong commitment to personal and workplace safety
