CHEMICAL RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

(MUST BE LOCAL TO BAYTOWN/HOUSTON AREA)

Today, Kelly Services is searching for an experienced Chemical Research Technician to join the team at a Fortune 500 Chemical Company in Baytown, TX on a long-term contract basis.

CHEMICAL RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

DUTIES

*Perform wet bench-top chemistry prepare calibration solutions, titrations, etc.

*Synthesis (Compounds - Yields)

*Lab-Scale Unit operation

*Analytical equipment operation such as GC ChemStation

*Utilize TGA, CHNS, rotovap, Schlenk line, and other wet chemistry testing.
*Able to lift 20-30 lbs as needed. Load/unload small reactors.

REQUIREMENTS

*Commitment to data quality

*attention to details

*Excellent computer skills including MS Excel,

*Agilent is a plus

*Ability to work with minimum supervision

*High degree of flexibility, initiative and strong teamwork skills are a requirement

EDUCATION

*Minimum of B.S., Chemistry or closely related field

*PhD Candidates cannot be considered due to entry level nature of the role
