This role is responsible for directly assisting customers in the mortgage lending process of home buying. You are responsible for answering inbound and outbound potential home buyers from a variety of lead sources. Full effort will be put into providing world class customer service to consumers, including education and guidance on the entire home buying and loan origination process. You will build, work directly with, and manage strong relationships with buyer and listing realtor agents. A close working relationship with a team oriented approach with loan processors, underwriters, and funders is expected. A competitive, high performing individual and team culture with an approach to continuous improvement is expected.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relationships with realtors
- Soliciting and originating Purchase loans via referrals generated from the branch realtor base
- Set and explain proper expectations of process and documentation needed to complete loan application
- Outbound efforts of new listings to assigned agents, thank you calls and following-up on pre-qualification's
- Handling Escalations within SLAs should they occur
- Works closely with in-house branch team to ensure loans remain compliant and move through our process in a timely manner
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Must have thorough working knowledge of agency and government underwriting guidelines
- Must have the ability to work independently and responsibly
- Must have strong sales and closing techniques.
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
- Strong problem solving ability.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
Core Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- NMLS MLO License Required
- 1-2+ Years' Experience Preferred Working in:
- Sales Profession Role
- Financial Services Role
- 1-2+ Years Experience Required Working in:
- Customer Service
- Customer Facing Roles
- Call Center Environment
- Retail Environment
- Desire to work in and expand knowledge of Mortgage Industry
- Desire to expand Customer Service, Sales and Consultation skillsets
- Desire for a Career Path within Mortgage Industry
- Ability to learn and work within technical systems, including Lead Management and Loan Origination Systems, and Microsoft Office products
