We currently have an opening for a full-time entry-level Processing Assistant / Junior Loan Processor who will perform administrative & follow-up tasks to expedite the closing of home financing transactions. We are looking for an honest, ambitious, hard-working person with a great work ethic and a positive attitude. As a member of the Operations team, the incumbent will collaborate with other members to provide a customer experience that is consistent with the goals of GR, as well as meet the needs of the customer. A successful candidate in this position has the potential to be promoted quickly within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs administrative tasks to expedite the closing of mortgage loans.
  • Review initial customer document package for submission to Processing.
  • Order title policies and follow up with title companies to receive documentation.
  • Order 4506T, loan pay-offs, HOI, Flood Certificates, Condo Questionnaires, written VOE's and verify data.
  • Maintains open line of communication with Account Executives and Account Managers regarding requirements to close applications.
  • Provide coverage for other Processing Assistants in the event of scheduled and unscheduled absences.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree or higher preferred; one to two (1-2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum one to two (1-2) years' solid experience in a retail environment or professional office setting with proven skills in customer service, data entry, and general administrative follow-up. Experience in a mortgage lending environment is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Aside from the requirements above, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in exceptional follow-up and customer service, and must be able to prioritize multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met. Must also be able to demonstrate initiative and use independent judgment within Guidance's established guidelines and procedures.
