JOB SUMMARY
Supervises all aspects of the retail department within the resort.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma is required or equivalent.

LICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED: Valid driver's license required.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Some accounting and purchasing experience preferred. Must have the ability to handle situations consistently; being professional, courteous, and friendly at all times. Maintain a high-energy level to be able to be in a stationary position throughout the day on the retail/sales floor.

KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE:
Micros System, extensive computer knowledge, internet, digital camera, and other office equipment knowledge required.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2 years experience supervising or working in a hotel, resort, sales or retail environment is helpful.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possible heavy inventory workloads; exerting up to 40 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Have the ability to be in a stationary position up to 8 hours per day.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by guests and associate.
Must be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries and complaints.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
In charge of training and guiding all retail team members.
Ensure a wide variety of items are available for the guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stocked.
Assist with challenging associates to be friendly and to provide suggestions to guests and associates shopping as well as up-sell items when appropriate.
Give breaks to associates during shift.
Ensure that all retail outlets are kept clean, orderly, well lit, with creative displays to attract customers. Includes but is not limited to decorating for the holidays.
Assist in achieving sales revenue goals on a monthly basis.
